The Woodlands
Day Nursery opened its doors in October 1997. This bright, cheery
and busy nursery occupies a purpose built single story building
set in a large secure outdoor play area with lots of outdoor activities, overlooking a rural environment. The warm and welcoming atmosphere ensures the children are settled and secure.
The building comprises a bright and colourful baby room with lots of toys to play with and a separate sleep room and access to the outside area. A toddler room with lots of toys and varied activities, areas for relaxing and sleeping, with access to our outdoor play area. A spacious open plan area for the 2-4 year olds, with doors opening onto a paved covered area leading into the outdoor play area. All have the opportunity to experience lots of learning activities and purposeful play in the different areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
The nursery is open 7.15am - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks
a year (closing only for Bank Holidays). Our meals are freshly prepared on site, they are nutritious and all dietary requirements are catered for.
The caring, safety and well being of all the children is uppermost. We develop their confidence, self esteem and independence through play and activites.
We have some nursery education places for 3 and 4 year olds for 38 weeks per year for 15 hours per week (term time only), with well planned Early Years Foundation Stage activities avaiilable. We also accept work related childcare vouchers.
Through training, all staff regularly update their knowledge and skills. The Nursery is very proud of our recent Ofsted report, we were graded good in all areas. To view our latest Ofsted Inspection Report, please click here.
We look forward to you visiting our nursery.
