Welcome to the County Hospital Day Nursery.   We are a 42 place day nursery with 12 under two spaces and 30 over two spaces.   We are open all year with the exception of bank holidays.   Our opening times are Monday to Friday 6.45am to 6pm.   We offer full or part time care.

Within our "under twos" we have four members of staff who work on a 1:3 ratio.  We work closely with parents to build up a trusting and happy relationship.  The "under twos" consists of 2 separate play rooms equipped with age related toys.  The children experience creative, sand and water play and enjoy regular singing sessions.   We have a separate sleep room for the under twos.

Within the over twos we operate family groups, the 'bears, seals and penguins'.  Each group has 2 members of staff who work with the children.   We have a variety of activities that go on throughout the day, all of which cover the Early Learning Goals which are found in the foundation stage.   From creative work to cooking, the chidren are learning through play, this is something that we at Lincoln are committed to.   Each child is an individual in his/her own right, they are free to make choices which encourage independence and confidence, and makes for happy children.  This is all done within a caring and loving environment which allows the children to excel, at their own pace.

We are situated within the historic part of Lincoln, near the cathedral and castle with the local arboretum within short walking distance.  We can offer the following:

We also receive nursery education vouchers for 3 and 4 year olds for 38 weeks per year for a maximum of 5 sessions per week.  Each session lasts for 2 1/2 hours.

The nursery has an excellent reputation within the City of Lincoln; this is down to highly motivated and ambitious staff who are proud of the job they do. The success of this nursery has been so great that we opened a new nursery in Lincoln in January 2004.
