Our nursery is situated in the heart of the new regeneration zone, close to Dearne Valley College and Call Centres, and borders the towns of Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley and Sheffield, and is set in spacious grounds and surrounded by open fields, open farmland and countryside.

The nursery is purpose built and opened in 1999.  Initially we were registered for 55 children. However, due to huge demand, we received funding from the Neighbourhood Nursery Scheme and extended in September 2003 to accommodate 120 children.

Our under twos' baby unit caters for 27 children. This is self - contained offering a separate area for the younger babies. Activities are planned for, using the new  Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.   These meet the babies' individual needs for development, whilst ensuring their routines are also being followed.  The babies also have access to their own secure garden area.

We have a large toddler room which caters for our children aged 20 to 30 months.  This comprises a quiet area, creative/wet area, activity tables as well as a spacious floor area, ideal for imaginative play.   There is also a secure outdoor play area designated purely for the toddlers.   Again, stimulating activities are planned for each child's individual interests using the EYFS.

Our 2 1/2 to 3 year olds have their own room, again with an area for creative/wet activities, a quiet area and activity tables.  There is also direct access to their own secure garden area.

We also have 2 pre-school rooms for children aged 3-5 years.  These rooms have their own secure garden areas, which the children can access freely.

The EYFS is used to plan for all 6 areas of learning throughout the children's nursery day, providing a wide range of innovative and exciting activities, using our fantastic range of available resources.

Our staff pride themselves on their excellent relationships with children, parents and carers. We are constantly updating our qualifications and skills to keep abreast of the changing legislation.  We are proud to be able to boast that we have always achieved excellent OFSTED reports and aim to continue doing so. Meals are freshly cooked each day on the nursery premises and we offer breakfast, lunch, and tea.  Meals are well balanced and nutritious; any special diets can be catered for.

We receive nursery education vouchers for 3 and 4 year olds for a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.  We also accept work related childcare vouchers from all organisations.

Our nursery is brightly decorated throughout in primary colours, people say this reflects the bright and friendly atmosphere within. We welcome visitors and are looking forward to your visit so that we can share our wonderful nursery with you.
